Cruisin’

It’s Spring! Time for flower and car shows and road trips!!! Taking some inspiration from those activities, I decided to use this Hampton Arts Art Impressions fun image and sentiment. Taylored Expressions Linen background stamp was inked with Gina K Designs Dusty Rose ink and stamped on my card base. The layering panel was die cut using TE’s A2 Postage Stamp stacklets die and ink blended in the same dusty rose ink. GKD ephemera was added to the corner of my image and my friends and I are ready for adventure.

My card today will be shared with

The Four Seasons Challenge: Spring Season May 2024

I varied some from their mood board but did use pink for inspiration. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.

Royal Hugs

The challenge for May at Colorful Options is Royal Blue. I couldn’t quite seem to find the shade of royal blue in all of my inks so opted to make my Taylored Expressions Baroque Bouquet rainbow colored. The background was ink blended using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide salty ocean and spattered with a little water and white paint. Sentiment is also TE.

Still not royal blue but am really loving this TE set.

My card today will be shared in the:

Gorgeous mood board and I have a sweater in royal blue but not inks :(.

Pretty in Pink

and pretty in purple, too!

Mother’s Day cards for my daughter and daughter in law this year. Taylored Expressions Baroque Bouquet stamp and mask to make my cards today. I think this huge bloom is one of my new favs. The embossing folder was part of StampJoy, then the stamp was released along with the die and mask. Sentiment was from a SimonSaysStamp set.

Butterflies

Three triangle card designs using Gina K Designs Sending Love pure luxury paper packs. Since I don’t have any double sided patterned papers I needed two designs from the same pack and these designs seemed to complement each other. I was able to get two cards from each 5×3-3/4″ paper of each design however one cut didn’t make it past the glue down. LOL! Top card uses a Tim Holtz stamp from his Butterfly Melange stamp set and sentiment from a friend, middle card is Gina K Designs Birthday Blessings stamp and die set and bottom card is Taylored Expressions Butterflies stamp and die set.

My patterned paper designed cards will be shared with:

A Pirate’s Life!!!

Argh!!! not one but two pirate ships sailing the high seas for our youngest grandchildren. They like to receive mail so I will be mailing these cards to them. Both use the Penny Black Pirates stamp set. The top card the pirate ship was stamped on patterned paper, colored and then used a clear star jelly roll pen to outline this “ghost” ship. The bottom card uses Tim Holtz moon stencil and ink blending as well as an embossing folder for some fancy waves. Layer of gold seemed appropriate to back the focal panel.

Tropical Olaf!

A movie theme almost had me stumped until I realized that I was gifted this all too cute Olaf from Frozen stamp and die set. The sentiment included in the Simply Defined stamp set prompted me to make a tropical theme for Olaf using Newton’s Nook Designs Retro Sun & Palms Stencil set. I deleted a portion of the sentiment and added an offset Catherine Pooler/Cas-ual Fridays Stamp of Approval die to complete my card today.

The movie theme challenge that I will share my card with is:

48 Years

Will and I will be celebrating our 48th wedding anniversary in May and I actually completed his card early thanks to a challenge of Wedding or Anniversary. I liked this sentiment better than the usual Happy Anniversary but will add that to the inside with my hand written not to hubby.

My card uses a homemade heart stencil from a heart die from my stash and some inks in a light rainbow order from Taylored Expressions (Guava, Peaches n Cream and Mango), the sentiment and silhouette are Gina K Designs Vintage Summer card kit named Ocean Silhouettes. TE’s A2 Postage Stamp Stacklets die, and Diagonal Stitch Rectangle Stacklets completes my ivory CAS card today.

My anniversary card will be shared with:

Flying Hi!!!

Our weather has either been rainy or windy and most days it’s both of those types of weather, so my weather themed embossing folder card today includes a Darice cloud embossing folder which I rainbox inked after embossing then put it back in the embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot one more time to redefine the embossed clouds. A fussy cut kite from an older Gina K Designs StampTV kit Vintage Chic, some wink of stella and a Tim Holtz die cut sentiment completes this card.

I will be sharing my card with the challenge at:

Happy BD!

Adding a masculine birthday card to my stash, I decided to focus on the word sentiment with the SimonSaysStamp Chunky Happy word die. I cut some strips of “scrap” 65 lb cardstock and glued it to a piece of copy paper then die cut the sentiment from the stripes, die cut the outline again from the pale blue cardstock and die cut the shadow from a sand colored cardstock. The layering panel was splattered with gold and brown inks/paints and for good measure a perfect pearls spray too. Of course all of that warped my card pretty badly and the ivory cardstock base was not of the heaviest weight but I think adding an inner panel of some better weight will help balance the weight. After adhering the word die, cut apart a sentiment strip and added a few enamel dots to complete my card.

I will be sharing my card today with:
