DOS Chuckle

Hello and welcome.

Today’s card is dear old sister’s chuckle of the month. Frame is Rectangle Stitched Framelits from SU. Image and sentiment (“I was taught as a child to “speak your mind” I was also taught “If you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all”. Inside “can you see my problem here”.) were found online.

Thanks for stopping by, I always appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Money Holders

https://colorfuloptions.blogspot.com/2022/08/august.html

Hello and welcome. This will be entered in Colorful Options Aug. challenge.

Today’s post shows the two money holders I made. These are very simple. The pattern I followed had the cs measure 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 but I wanted them to fit in a regular letter size envelope, so I cut the cs 8 1/2 x 6 1/4. I scored the 8 1/2 side at 3 & 6 1/2. The die cut starbursts are from the Silhouette, flowers are a small hand punch, center of flowers are Opal Rounds by SU. Flowers are popped up. The pp is very shiny, so it was hard to photo without getting glare.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe. And cool.

Back To School

Hello and welcome.

Today’s card is for our daughter who teaches 5th grade. Every year I make her a “back to school” card that we but a donation in to help her get her supplies. Teachers have to use their own money for a lot of their classroom supplies.

Background border was found online, sentiment is actually a Minion quote, teacher image is computer clip art fussy cut and popped up. I decided to use the same border pattern for the inside just to add a little more interest.

Thank You

Hello and welcome.

Today’s card is for a very special friend. Knowing how beautifully she crochets I asked if she would crochet me a cell phone pouch to hang around my neck. Actually, she made the strap long enough to hang crossbody, and to my surprise made 4 of them (she said a lady needs choices). While trying to come up with a plan for the thank you card the idea of finding yarn background paper popped into my head. So off to Google I went. This yarn pattern was perfect for adding a sentiment. Sentiment was printed on the computer and crochet hooks are computer clip art.

Happy 17th

Hello and welcome. Hope you’re all able to keep cool and stay dry.

Today’s card is for our great-grandson’s 17th birthday. After searching Pinterest for teen age boy birthday cards this is what I came up with. Pp was found online, wonky square is from the Silhouette. One of the cards I saw on Pinterest had the age printed randomly under the sentiment and I thought that was a fun idea, so to the computer I went. Wonky square is popped up. Card base is a random piece of cs found in my stash, mat and wonky square are Smokey Slate cs. For a little texture I scored lines on the center band and square,

Foiled Scribbles

Hello and welcome.

As you can see today’s card will be entered in Make the Cards Challenge #60. Background piece was run through a Sizzix swirly ef. Swirly Scribbles Thinlits by SU were cut from toner paper and foiled with a multicolored foil. Corner stars are from a small hand punch also from toner paper and foiled. The foiled swirlies don’t show up very well in the photo but look kind of cool in real life. I found SU’s Just Jade cs was just right for card base.

Thanks for stopping by. Stay healthy & safe and try to stay cool and dry.

Purple-Blue-Green

Hello and welcome.

After watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGFDhrTDhr8 I thought that might be fun to try. Problem was, I didn’t have the right ribbons, so I just used cs strips. After they were all adhered and run through a Sizzix swirl ef I realized I ended up with the debossed side. Oh well, that works. The frame was cut on the Silhouette then I scored it for a little texture. Sentiment was printed on the computer.

Christmas Truck

https://peaceonearthchristmas.blogspot.com/2022/07/peace-on-earth-challenge-20.html

Hello and welcome.

Today’s card will be entered at Peace On Earth challenge. As you can see, I decided to go with the truck in the inspiration photo. Pp was found online, truck is computer clip art, snowflakes are a stamp in Seasonal Sentiments by Gina K. Oval frame is Stitched Ovals by Die-namics. There was a little issue with the license. The photo had 2019 so I had to clone that out to put 2022. Cloning on small areas is a bit of a challenge but I kind of like doing it just to prove to myself I can.

Birthday Pocket

Hello and welcome.

Today’s card is for one of our grandson-in-laws. I saw a card like this on Pinterest and thought it would work well for him. Background paper is a small piece from my stash. It seemed to need a little dimension, but I thought an embossing folder might be too much pressure, so I scored every 1/4″ across then edged it with black to give the illusion of a mat. Pocket is from my Silhouette. It was cut with both denim print paper and white cs to give it some stability. It looked to clean & neat, so I sort of distressed the edges. Surprisingly I found the brads in my stash. Sentiment die is Stitched Ovals by Die-namics, happy birthday stamp is Gina K’s Birthday Blessings set. Both pocket and die cut are popped up. We will be putting more than a 1$ bill in it.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.
