Id Please

Hello and welcome. Time again for dos’s chuckle. I found the quote on Pinterest. Background paper was found online, ovals are stitched ovals by Die-namics. Below is the full quote.

“Last night I ordered a glass of wine with my dinner, the waiter asked for my ID. I replied “do I look that young?” The waiter said “No, I just wanted to see if you qualified for the Senior Citizen discount.”

BasketBall Birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our middle great-grandson. He loves playing basketball.

Background paper was found online. Circles were cut on the Silhouette and the center one was run through a Cuttlebug ef. The basketball is computer clip art and I added the 15 before printing it, then backed it with another circle and popped it up. I used a Stampin Up punch for the ball.

Rising hand

Hello and welcome. I tried to load this to the Two Old Bats Halloween challenge but I had a problem and couldn’t get it on there.

Black cover and border are from the Silhouette, corner bats are from a Tim Holtz Halloween die set. Border is popped up. The moon background was found on Google Halloween moon clip art. Card base is 5 1/4 x 5 1/4, overlay is 4 3/4 x 4 3/4. I’ll be making my own envelope for this one. You can now say you’ve seen green bats. lol

Anniversary Rocker

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our son & d-i-l. Their anniversary is the day after his birthday.

While going through my stash I found this scrap of pp that I thought would make a nice anniversary card. Card base was cut on the Silhouette, circles are Spellbinders scalloped and classic circles. Sentiment & clip art roses were printed on the computer. There was just enough of the pearly trim in my stash to finish it off.

pinwheel birthday

Hello and welcome. After seeing some pinwheel cards on Pinterest I thought I’d give it a try. Patterned paper is from a 6×6 book from Stampin Up. Squares were cut using Stampin Up’s paper trimmer, center circle is a no name stitched circles die. Sentiment stamp is Gina K’s Birthday Blessings, fussy cut & popped up.

This is for our son. Inside sentiment is very simple… “Enjoy the last year of your 50’s”. Next year’s card will be really fun. 🙂

With Sympathy

Hello and welcome. Our grandson-in-law’s grandma passed away this week, so this is the card I made. Die cuts are Flourish Thinlits by Stampin Up, embossing folders are both from Cuttlebug. Sentiment was printed on the computer, and I added score lines on top and bottom of panel. Inside sentiment is a combination of 2 different sentiments found on Pinterest. I don’t think I ever embossed the inside of a card before, but I think it adds a lot here.

Just a fun little note… our granddaughter told me how she loved her grandma-in-law and thought of her as her grandma Gerry away from home. She is so sweet.

Par-tee time

Hello and welcome. I wanted to make a golf card so I searched Pinterest for ideas. The sentiment was printed on the computer and the golf balls are clip art. Corner balls that say ‘PAR-TEE time’ were hand punched and backed with a black circle. Die used is Stitched Squares by Die-namics. I wanted to add a little texture but the square shape didn’t fit any of my ef,. so using the Stampin Up’s score buddy, I hand scored it. If you really look at it, you’ll see plenty places where the stylus slipped. lol

Happy 70th

Hello and welcome. No more Easter cards this year. I always enjoy making milestone birthday cards with the age very prominent. Papers are The Paper Studio. Number was cut from glitter paper on the Silhouette. Sentiment was printed on the computer. Very easy peasy.

Crooked Eye Bunny

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our 3-year-old great-granddaughter.

This isn’t quite what I started out to make. Originally the bunny was going to be in the bottom left corner, but I didn’t die cut the right size circle and I had it all put together before I tried to put it on the paper. Background paper from my stash was just the right size. Dies used are Spellbinders classic circles and Petite ovals. Center of ears was embossed with Stampin Up dots ef. Eyes and heart are small hand punches, cheeks were done with a small cotton ball and pink stamp pad, whiskers are had drawn. Eyes were punched from dark blue, and I added clear Wink of Stella for a little sparkle. Egg stickers are from my stash. Eyes are a little crooked, but Bernie already knows if it’s perfect GGG couldn’t have made it. lol
