Fractured Confetti

Hello and welcome. Finally, I’m back to making a challenge card.

Thanks to buddy Lisa B. I bought a fractured card base die, only I bought mine on Amazon, so it’s not quite the same as Lisas. But it works.

Patterned papers were found online. For a more finished look on the shaped pieces, I edged them with a yellow marker.

I am now entering this at https://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com/2025/02/just-us-girls-challenge-763-mood-board.html

Accordiongly Birthday

Hello and welcome. Hubby and I share the same birthday, and we stopped giving each other gifts or cards a long time ago. However, since he played the accordion in elementary school, when I saw a card like this on Pinterest, I just had to make him one. This is an easel card so I’m going to stand it on his desk. Image is clip art, sentiment and music notes were printed on the computer. Edges of top layer were cut with an antique photo cutter.

Triangle Card

Hello and welcome. I’m so proud of myself. After several tries to make a triangle card this one finally worked.

Patterned paper is from Stampin Up. I’m sure it has been long retired. Sentiment label was punched with Stampin Up punches. The piece of ribbon was found in the back of a drawer. Sentiment was printed on the computer.

I am SO happy I finally got a triangle card made. Sorry for repeating myself, but I am really pleased with this one.

Happy Birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card was inspired by a one I saw on Pinterest. Embossing folder used is Happy Birthday by Cuttlebug, flowers are Flourish Thinlits from Stampin Up. I added clear Wink of Stella to the flowers for a little sparkle. Sentiment was printed on the computer and cut with my paper trimmer then I rounded the corners. Since I don’t do bows very well, I just looped a piece of hanging ribbon. Flowers and hanging ribbon have tiny pearl gems in the centers.

Sweet Treats

Hello and welcome. It’s good to be getting a little strength back.

Today’s card is for a casual friend who loves to bake and share the treats. Background paper and sentiment were found online. At first, I tried the sentiment in the center but decided a little wonky was much better. This was so quick and easy I felt like I was cheating.

Doily Bridal Dress

Hello and welcome. When our daughter was here this past weekend she wanted to make shower card for her daughter. When she “makes” a card it’s sitting next to me while I do the work. LOL We found several cards with the dress made from paper doilies and she liked this pattern best. She just wanted it to be plain, no sentiment on the front. She hand wrote a beautiful note inside. Doily, ribbon & gem are from my stash. Embossing folder used is from Cuttlebug.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Hello and welcome. I’ve been wanting to use different ribbons or strips of pp to make die cuts, so I finally did it. I cut 1/4″ strips of two different patterned papers, glued them to a piece of white cs then used Stampin Up’s Sweet & Sassy framelits heart die. Then edged it with a black marker. Back layered heart is from the same set with Wink Of Stella around the edges. I recently watched a video on using a circle punch so that’s what I did for corners. Embossing folder is from Cuttlebug. Sentiment was printed on the computer. Here’s the link to the punch video https://stamptasticdesigns.com/2020/05/10/fun-and-simple-way-to-use-circle-shapes-in-card-making/

Nostalgic Birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for a friend that we see every week at our favorite restaurant, he’s the only man at a table for 6. The background page was found online. First, I cloned out the photo and words that were there then added his photo and my own words. I did all that in my Hallmark card program. The page has lists Of What Things Cost, Sporting Highlights, On Television, Stars Born, Top Songs, At The Cinama & Events. It was fun reading about those things.

Birthday Number 4

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our youngest great-granddaughter (who should still be a baby). When I started, I had no idea what I wanted to do except use her picture. Patterned paper was found online, frame is Spellbinders Classic & Scalloped Rectangles. Numbers are from an online coloring page fussy cut and edged with black marker. Corners were rounded for a little interest.
