Wedding Card

Hello and welcome. After a wonderful week with our daughter, I’m back to posting.

While she was here, she wanted to make a wedding card for her daughter who’s getting married this summer. After looking through Pinterest we came up with this design. Embossing folder is from Stampin Up, hearts are Sweet & Sassy Framelits by Stampin Up. Blue hearts have Wink of Stella for a little sparkle. Holes around the white hearts were done by hand. Since I didn’t have the right shade of blue cs for the flowers I found a blue gradient background paper on Google. Flowers were punched with a small hand punch then layered. Tiny blue gems are added to the flowers, leaves are some leftovers laying around. Her part of making this card was adding the Wink of Stella, poking the holes and punching the flowers.

Strawberry Shortcake Easel

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is a welcome card for our daughter who will be here tonight and stay a whole week. She teaches at a private school and has a two-week spring break

When she was little, she and her friends loved to play with Strawberry Shortcake dolls. Patterned paper and popped up strawberry were found online. As you can see the lighting wasn’t the best for my photos. I think she’ll get a chuckle out of this.

Scored Thanks

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is a CASE of one Lisa K posted recently. You can see Lisa’s card here https://stampbuddies.blog/2025/03/09/patterned-paper-hello/

Years ago, Stampin Up had a diagonal scoring piece that fit on their Simply Scored Scoring Tool and that’s what I used to score this card. Unfortunately, the opposite direction score lines don’t show in the photo. Patterned paper was left over from another card I made recently. Since I don’t have a sentiment stamp small enough to fit in one of the squares, I used a die cut word. The die was gifted to me by one of our Stamp Buddies. Even though my brain wouldn’t compute Lisa’s measurements I kind of figured it out and I’m pleased with the end result.

Fault Line Birthday

Hello and welcome. After seeing some fault line cards on Pinterest I just had to try one. Since I’m in need of a masculine card I went with browns. Cardstock in Stampin Up, pp was found online. Dots are from a hand punch, and I put Glossy Accents on them, sentiment is from Gina K’s Birthday Blessings stamp set. I’m not really sure about it but maybe it will grow on me.

Happy Anniversary

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our son & d-i-l’s 33rd anniversary. Their anniversary is the day after his birthday, he’s never forgotten it. lol

Patterned paper was found online, hearts are Sweet & Sassy Framelits by Stampin Up. Sentiment was printed on the computer and hearts are computer clip art. My first thought was to add some gems but after it was finished, I decided against it. I’m very pleased with it.

Son Turns 60

Hello and welcome. I can’t believe we have a son turning 60. His birthday isn’t till April 10th, but I just couldn’t wait to make the card.

Background paper was found online. With all the different colors in the paper I thought Old Olive cs worked best. Frame is a no name die from Amazon, labels are Stampin Up’s Modern Label and Word Window punch, sentiment was printed on the computer. Photo was taken last week while he was here for a couple days (I cropped myself out). Inside sentiment was found on Google.

Dead Man Walking

Hello and welcome. It’s never too early for Halloween cards.

Background paper was found online and I sponged the edges in black. Dies used are from two different Tim Holtz Thinlits sets. The “dead man” was cut from Basic Gray cs then I lightly sponged it with black. Grass is a Martha Stewert punch. The grass was also sponged with black.

First Home

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is to congratulate our granddaughter & fiancé who just bought and moved into their first house. They’re getting married Aug. 15. I can’t wait.

I thought it would be fun to have a picture of the house on the card front. I went to the relator’s web site to get this picture. I had a soft sky patterned paper from online for the background then added the photo and sentiment. Card base is Azure Afternoon by Stampin Up. It took me quite a while to get everything sized and placed right but I’m happy with the end result.

Easel Pocket Card

Hello and welcome. DOS’s Feb. chuckle card never made it to her so I’m posting it for her to see. Quote was found on Pinterest. Patterned paper is an old Stampin Up piece. Black circles were made with a Sharpie and topped with Wink of Stella, OOPS, I cropped the photo of the inside of the insert too close. It has an easel back so it can stand up. Base is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.
