Flower Power

The flowers are from Something Good and Today and Always. The wood slice is stamped in Warm Glow. The flowers, leaves and branches are done in Sweet Corn, Sweet Mango, Tangerine Twist, Honey Mustard, Sandy Beach, and Fresh Asparagus. The size and shape of the sentiment from Life is Good tucked very nicely under the flower. This is going to my 95 year old friend who’s having good days and bad days. I’m entering this in the monthly challenge at Gina K. Designs.

Stenciled Sympathy

I have needed way too many sympathy cards lately. Dusty Rose card base. The stenciled panel was cut with Spellbinders Matting Basics B6, stenciled with Rounded Swirl in Skeleton Leaves ink. The mat is Wild Lilac cut with Matting Basics A6. I used a Spellbinders Oval, matte with Inverted Scallop in Grass Green. The flowers and leaves are from Stippled Leaves by Gina K Designs. I used Copics R81, R83, R85, YG00, YG05, YG17. The sentiment is also from Stippled Flowers, stamped in Jet Black.

Daffodil March Birthday

I love the tiny daffodil and clay pot from Window of Wishes by Theresa Momber for Gina K designs. Since the daffodil is flower for March, I thought it was perfect for the Flower Power challenge for March at Gina K. Designs.

I colored the flower and pot with Copics: Y08, Y18, YG01, YG05, E07, Colorless Blender. I cut the White Base Weight focal panel with Gina’s Double Stitch Rectangle. The mat is cut with the Single Stitch Rectangle in Grass Green. The lower panel is Tomato Soup embossed with the Cuttlebug Polka Dot Embossing Folder (5×7). Tip: Don’t use the purple tape to hold the side of the CS that will be face up. The card base is Sweet Corn. The tan was in my stash, cut with Alison’s Ribbon die. The sentiment from Autumn Wishes fit perfectly on the ribbon. On the inside I used a sentiment from Birthday Greetings.

A New Month and a New Blog

How fun is this? I’ve been wanting to do some blogging for a while but never had the nerve to get started. So here goes.

Lighthouse Sunset

I need a lot of masculine thinking of you cards right now. The lighthouse is from By The Sea, designed by Theresa Momber for Gina K Designs. After stamping the lighthouse, I masked it, then used purple tape toward the bottom of the lighthouse to create the sky, and started brushing on ink to create the background. All inks are by Gina K designs. I started with Sweet Corn around the lighthouse, then added Bubblegum Pink, and Powder Blue toward the top. I removed the tape and used it to mask the sky then used Ocean Mist and Sea Glass to create the sea. I used Copics to color the lighthouse.
