I used the Mini Wreath Builder to create my Happy Wreath. I used Blue Denim and Red Velvet to stamp Happy from Beautiful Balloons, matted with Red Velvet and Blue Denim. The Birthday sentiment is from Massive Messages stamped in Blue Denim. I’m entering this in the Stamp TV Monthly challenge and the Mod Squad Challenge. The Double D Challenge is to use a silhouette. I tried to create a western sunset with the cowboy silhouette from Out West 2 by Theresa Momber for Gina K Designs. I created the background with Distress Oxide Inks and stamped the image and sentiment from the same set with GKD Obsidian ink. Another card to my masculine card birthday stash.
Finally had time to play to enter the Mod Squad Challenge . Although black and brown are not colors I usually use together, I was afraid the tag would be my undoing. Yesterday I went to one of our two remaining stamp stores in the area and found a wonderful gingham stencil by Newton’s Nook. I used GKD Warm Cocoa ink on GKD Heavy Weight Ivory – close to cream IMHO to create the background. I matted it with Black Onyx and used an Ivory card base. The tag dies I had were either too big or too small, then I found this one that came with my Gemini Jr. and it was just right. I cut apart the birthday sentiment from Massive Message to fit the tag. I decided the tag needed something else, so I drew around the outside of the die on Warm Cocoa CS and fussy cut a mat. I really like how this turned out and will probably be making more to use for masculine cards.
Using the Diagonal Stripe Background Stamp (May 2018) by Gina K Designs in my MISTI, I stamped the panel in Tangerine Twist, then gave the panel a quarter turn and stamped again to create the plaid. I stamped the Gauze Background (May 2018), also by Gina K Designs in Sweet Mango. I used Tangerine Twist to stamp the Gingham (about 2009) using a stamp from Impression Obsession. The pumpkins were cut using Spellbinders limited edition Nested Pumpkins (about 2009). Using the direct to paper technique, I swiped Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink across a piece of white card stock until I was happy with the coverage. I let it dry then used D’Vine Swirl, one of my favorite Cuttlebug embossing folders. I stamped Happy Birthday from the Stamp TV Birthday Blessings kit from 2015 in Tangerine Twist ink on the Gauze pumpkin. I placed all on a Twisted Tangerine card base.

This is for the Lovely as a Tree challenge at As You See It.
I stamped the smaller tree from The Giving Tree by Gina K Designs in Warm Cocoa on four small panels layered over a piece of Warm Cocoa card stock.The set has elements to depict all seasons. I stamped the snowflake using a Summer Sky marker by Memento. The other inks I used are by Gina K Designs – Bubblegum Pink for the Spring flowers, Jelly Bean Green for the Summer Leaves and Tangerine Twist for the Autumn Leaves. The sentiment was stamped on white in Warm Cocoa layered on a Warm Cocoa mat.
This is for my husband’s aunt’s birthday. I used Beautiful Balloons by Gina K Designs, masked and colored with Copics. The numbers are from Lots of Letters. Layers are Red Velvet, pattern paper is from Hello Sunshine. On the Tangerine Twist layer I used Tangerine Twist ink with the Rounded Swirl stencil. Card base is Wild Dandelion. This is a lot of layers for me. The birthday cake had red, blue, yellow and orange balloons with numeral candles – it was like I knew what the cake was going to look like. It was a good day and great to see so many of the family on a happy occasion.
The members of my husband’s Masonic Lodge sent me a beautiful arrangement of flowers recently to celebrate the end of my chemo treatments. This card is a small way of saying thank you. I placed the board from Melanie Muenchinger’s new Perfect Pallet set at the 3” mark on my MISTI and stamped in Warm Cocoa ink. Then I moved the card up at 1” intervals on the MISTI to create the sign board. The sentiment is from Massive Messages, stamped in Chocolate Truffle. The ferns in the corners are from Vertical Greetings 2 by Theresa Momber, stamped in Fresh Asparagus. This is for Cat’s Flag You’re It challenge. The flag I chose is the Missouri State Flag, which is red, white and blue. Instead of a card I repurposed a 2017 calendar magnet from my insurance agent. This will cover up an ugly spot on my file cabinet. I die cut the state with a Cheery Lynn Die three times – in Cherry Red, Denim Blue and Heavy Base White to depict the flag. The seal in the center was cut from a picture of the state flag. The seal is actually supposed to extend into the red and blue fields, but the flag in the picture I cut was just a bit too small, and it does show up better just on the field of white. The state bird is the bluebird and is from Birds & Blossoms 2, colored with B21, B26, B28, YR14, Y17. The state tree is the dogwood, from Dogwood and Butterfly, colored with N0, N1. “Proud to be from”, stamped in Cherry Red is from Make a Statement. “Missouri”, stamped in Denim Blue is from Stately Flowers 2. I wanted to include our state flower, the Hawthorne, but the clustered Hawthorne from the set was too large and I was bummed to discover that the small, single Hawthorne is MIA.
This is for a good friend that continues his fight with cancer. Using the MISTI, I stamped the Fabulous Frame by Melanie Muenchinger on white Heavy Weight card stock. The Praying Hands stamp is an old wood mount by Stamp Craft that I’ve had forever, colored with Copics B21, B23, B93, E31, E33. The frame was colored with E23 and E57. The sentiment is from Get Well Wishes by Divinity Designs. I really struggled with the colors and shading on this, but after it sat a while I decided maybe I’d gotten it right.
