Uni-EEK

I’m still loving Whimsy Stamps and their Halloween products. This card Misfits card fronts and Chunky Checkers die set. I sponged white clouds with pigment ink on the black note card then covered it up with the focal image…..LoL. After adding paper spider web paper doily sections and three Tim Holtz spider dies and sentiment from the card front set, I can call this one complete and am loving it too.

My card today will be shared with:

Debossed Brown-Out

My leafy card today uses the debossed embossing blackout technique however I actually used a brown (TE Hot Fudge) ink instead of black. A variety of TE’s reds, yellow, orange and a bit of blue inks were used on my debossed panel of TE’s Lovely Leaves embossing folder which was part of the Combo Club I participate in receiving. I decided to make a gatefold card with a bellyband that was stamped with TE’s Check In background stamp and then die cut a number of leaves from Garden Variety-Fall dies using the same colors as the debossed panels as well as a few cut in honey cardstock with the edges swiped with hot fudge ink arranging them on a hexagon die cut. This card is one I made for a cardswap for the upcoming Taylored Expressions Virtual StampJoy Stay-cation event so all my products were Taylored Expressions.

4th Attempt

It only took four attempts to create my own background for this card. When I was finally happy with the TE Squiggly Stacklets die cut panel which was stenciled with a combination of SimonSaysStamps’ Mixed Match Circles and a second that I cannot recall the name inked in Kitsch Flamingo DO ink then stamped in black with Hero Arts bat background stamp!! I then started work on my focal image and more Distress Oxide inks and a spritz of water a layer of Memory Box Pasture Grasses and my IO trick or treaters. It only took me two attempts to stamp the black notecard with the white pigment ink HA’s bat stamp (first attempt my bats were upside down)!!! A few Martha Stewart bat punched bats and thankfully this is completed. My card will be shared with:

Double D Challenges: Make Your Own Background

Pretty mood board which inspired me to use pink circles for my background. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and stay safe.

Silhouette in Gray

A bit of a more subdued CAS birthday card today. After cutting a circle stencil, I ink blended Taylored Expressions Oyster ink, then stamped Gina K Designs Friendly’s Silhouette stamp in white pigment ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Thankfully I left the stamp in the Misti due to someone not making sure the ink was dry on the blended circle. Wiped off the embossing powder, heated the circle to dry the ink, then repeated the inking and embossing steps. Thankfully it worked. After die cutting a new circle panel and trimming to size my card , I curved the birthday sentiment around my circle and added a small butterfly in black which was from GKD’s Fabulous Frame stamp set

My card will be shared with two birthday challenges today:

Batty!!

This is my interpretation for the As You See It Challenge #356 which is a sketch challenge using rectangles and circles.

After quite a bit of thought I switched out the circles for bats punched with a good old Martha Stewart bat punch and three different patterned papers from my stash. Sentiment is Simon Says Stamp’s Happy Haunting stamp set and Taylored Expressions Wavy Stitch Stacklets with a bit of black spatter. I had one tiny piece of orchid cardstock from Gina K Designs and used it as a partial corner backer. A fun challenge and I was so thrilled that my leaf card for last month’s speed challenge was chosen as “Featured Artist”! Thank you so much for the honor and mention.

Staycation Swap

Taylored Expressions’ in person Stamp Joy event also has a Staycation option which is on line classes. I have optioned to do the at home on line classes but have joined in on the cardswap which I’m required to make 10 cards and mail before our event. Since this is a Taylored Expressions event all my products are TE and they include: Time to Grow stamp, stencil and foil it panel from the Combo Club subscription. After foiling the Foil-It panel in Pewter foil, my inks included a variety of fall-ish colors, the completed panel was die cut using All Planned Out 3 die set which included the sentiment and the button. I included a ribbon die cut over the button. The foiled panel was layered on Honey cardstock and the bottom portion is white woodgrain. I made several different cards for my swap but I did really like this one and will share with you and:

Boo-fer

It’s a Halloween Two-fer or as my title lists a “Boo-fer”. My top card uses Whimsy Stamps Dreamland 2 quick card fronts patterned paper. Whimsy’s Curly Frame die was used to cut the image which was mounted and adhered to my distress oxide ink blended card front. I’m glad that I did not detach the die pieces because it also cuts a frame which was then cut from black shimmer cardstock for this card. Hope this makes sense. Sentiment was included in the paper pack. I couldn’t seem to stop there so I ink blended another card front with distress oxide inks…..gosh I need to pull these out a bit more as I was so happy with the blending. Anyway, I took the outer portion of the die cut from card 1 and adhered that to my blended note card with a Boo sentiment from that curly frame set and ghosts from a Whimsy Boo die set. I actually made one more card using the frame from this curly frame die but will be saving that one for the Word Power challenge possibly. Fun patterned paper pack fro some fun Halloween cards.

Since I couldn’t decide which card to enter, I’m sharing both with:

Fintastic Day

My favorite patterned papers come from Whimsy Stamps and especially their card front panels. My card today uses Coral Reef patterned paper card front from Whimsy Stamps and their Bubbly A2 die. The center portion of this die was popped up with foam tape. I added a sentiment that was included with the patterned paper pack and this this card is complete. When you have these awesome papers it’s almost too easy to make a fun card.

Happy Days

I don’t have a lot of musical stamps although I did remember this unmounted red rubber jukebox that has been in my stash forever and a day! Google Lens identified the stamp as a jukebox cookie cutter! Close but I knew it was a stamp and maybe from Gina K Designs back from StampTV days as a freebie. The checked patterened paper was gifted to me by a stamp buddy and I added two strips of red cardstock. Sentiment is Taylored Expressions and notes and stars are another “yikes” I cannot remember clear stamp set…..maybe Fiskars…cute clear stamp images for different occasions that was so old I could hardly peel off the stamp from the plastic. After begin stuck for a sentiment I thought the one used could be a twist on the music theme! My card will be shared with:
