Thanks to Johanna and her post as a reminder of a speed challenge with an apple theme. I searched out my stash and came across Taylored Expressions Apple coin dies. These coin dies were a free with any purchase a few years ago. I had three so apparently I must have spent a lot of money that month!!!The coin die cuts out the circle and the apple. I did find this idea on line with a different coin die. The frame was from my stash and may be a bit wonky looking. Sentiment is from a Love Nicole stamp and die set from I believe JoAnn’s many years ago. Adding spatter over my waste basket was probably not the best idea as it was pretty one sided. My card was completed in 9 Minutes; 21 seconds. Phew! Always fun to play along and share my card with:

Hoping to be motivated to begin making Christmas cards so when the Colorful Options color of the month was RED I immediately thought Christmas. My mostly RED card was made using Taylored Expressions products: Easy Strip Maps, Ho Ho Ho die, 1/4″ easy strip patterns die, A2 postage stamp stacklets. Reds were from my stash.

Something a bit different today for me. My fall wreath was made in mind for a friend’s November birthday. Using some bits and pieces of previously inked and die cut leaves from Taylored Expressions and two different sizes of mushrooms to decorate my unbranded wreath die. Not sure if I needed the die cut bow but it’s there! Sentiment is also a TE stamp/die. A SSS woodgrain background stamp inked in ivory pigment ink on ivory cardstock.

Orange, pumpkins, two embossing folders and a layering stencil for today’s card. It was a happy mail delivery today with a new Taylored Expressions Harvest Hues layering stencil and foil it panels. The stencils make 4 different images that were just the right size for the TE Arched Nouveau dies and Ridged Arch nouveau die. My orange panel was embossed using TE’s Garden Trellis embossing folder and the vellum piece was embossed with TE’s Swiss dots embossing folder. Sentiment is also TE. My favorite fall treat is celebrating our grandson’s birthday….it’s a treat to see him and enjoy birthday cake! For my card, I used Taylored Expressions Easy Strip Maps in green and gold which are his high school’s colors. The gold and white strips were die cut using 1/8″ stitched die and the green strips were cut at 1/2″. Our grandson played soccer for his school this year so the TE soccer die was perfect, number dies were a combination of different dies from my collection and the words were also a TE product. Making a city Christmas delivery with my card today. Most holiday cards seem to use forest and snowbanks as their background but I thought I would try to create a city background using Hero Arts City Heroscape stamp/die. Distress Oxide inks for my night sky and a Gina K Designs stencil with white pigment ink. I took inspiration from the mood board by featuring the Stampendous pick up truck and presents. Sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.

Of course after I loaded the presents into the pick up truck, I realized I should have used the tree included in the set and it would have represented the tree being delivered to Rockefeller Center in NYC. One of my favorite get well stamps that has been neglected for quite some time but it is a good thing that I didn’t have a reason to dig up Art Impressions Doggy Kisses stamp set out of my stash and make a speedy recovery card. I’ve been trying to organize all of my supplies and came across another very neglected item which is Spellbinders Labels 8. After die cutting the image, I left the paper in the die and remembered the old trick to blend around the edges with ink. And finally more neglected patterned paper from my stash. A fall leaf embossed card that really became a challenge for me to complete! I used a piece of Gina K Designs Pure Luxury Grateful Heart patterned paper and embossed it with SimonSaysStamp’s Fall Foliage embossing folder. Well since the patterned paper was on the darker side, I took some white pigment ink and swipe over the raised areas to bring out the leaves…..that really didn’t work so I added some dark brown ink….better but not enough so the final swipe of ink was TE’s tropical punch. It kind of gave a patina vibe to the panel. Still not satisfied, I cut a piece of ivory carstock which is the same as the note card and embossed it, then die cut it with Taylored Expressions All Planned Out 1 die set, ran the bottom section back through the embossing folder once again. Better! Added a strip of cardstock over the seam of the two panels, tucked in some leaves left over from TE’s Awesome Autumn stencil/die from a previous project and TE sentiments from by stash.
