Fall Quadrants

After wsatching a recent Gina K Designs YouTube card design, I decided to CASE her card using GKD’s Funky Leaves, Scrapbook.com’s A2 card Panel Window die, Taylored Expressions inks, Edge to Edge sentiment heat embossed in gold embossing powder on TE’s Sentiment Wrap Strips die cut on vellum. It took me three attempts to complete this card. First card, I wanted to cut down and panel and cut it way too short, 2nd attempt I double stamped in versafine black and was too impatient to die cut and the ink smeared so finally this third attempt is a keeper. Thank goodness this was not a timed challenge. And for good measure I decided to make a second card using Scrapbook.com’s A2 Collage 1 die using Halloween themed stamps, ink colors and a sticker sentiment.

My card will be shared with:

  1. Great idea to use those dies. Fantastic cards! I like the ink blending. I have those dies but haven’t used them. Maybe you are inspiring me.

    1. Aww thanks, Johanna, I enjoy making cards with a bit of ink blending and silhouette stamping. The gold frame layer was inspired by you.

  2. Firstly, your quilt card was awesome and deserved a pick! This one is super too. I love the black funky leaves on the blocks of bright colour. The wavy edge and the embossed sentiment are other great details on a gorgeous card. Thanks for sharing it with us at As You See It. 🙂

  3. Gayle, your graded backgrounds are beautifully done, and so striking with the black leaf outlines! Thanks for joining us at As You See It Challenges!
