A color challenge of black and white led to me use this large Taylored Expressions Time to Fly background stamp inked multiple times in a varriety of black inks until I finally had a clear transfer. The background stamp dooes come with stencils which I did not use but rather die cut SimonSaysStamp Whirl Butterflies in white shimmer paper from Michael’s, added an oval die cut piece of vellum and a layered hugs sentiment from my stash. The scalloped frame is TE’s Frame in Frame 2 cutting plate set.
My card today will be shared with:
Colorful Options: May 2026 Challenge of Black and White

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. We are still in weather extremes with mid 90’s for a few days then dropping into the 60’s with lots of rain. The unofficial start of the summer season during our Memorial Day weekend is getting off to a chilly start. Remembering those who have given the ultimate sacrifice to our country to preserve our freedoms this weekend. Take care and make it a great day.

Lovely card! I made black and white cards this week. I will have to check out this challenge.
Thanks, Lisa, hope you join in on this challenge.

Lovely card. Your shimmery butterfly is so pretty against the black.
Thanks, Judy I should have used the shimmer cardstock on the sentiment too. I liked the added shimmer.
