Winter Blues

A SimonSaysStamp Kaleidoscope embossing folder on light blue cardstock and ink blended with two darker shades of blue were used for my focal panel. I decided to swipe some VersaMark embossing and watermark pad over the raised edges for a bit of dimension. The side snowflake strip is an unbranded die from my stash and the doubled snowflake is one of my favorites from SSS. Sentiment is a Tim Holtz. I included a panel of printed acetate behind my focal panel for a bit more snowflakes.

My card today will be shared with:

Can You Handle the Pressure: Anything Goes with a Twist of Winter Blues (12/25) and of course the required embossing folder

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. It took quite awhile to clear all of the ice today. I definitely got my steps in today as we had to remove one layer of ice at a time until we hit sidewalk. NOW….there may be another ice storm Sunday night….I’m not quite ready for those winter blues!

  1. Very pretty card for the ‘winter blues’!! I think ice is the worse, rain and 60’s here today then all that rain will freeze, in the teens rest of week, so glad I am retired and don’t have to get out in it anymore!

Thanks so much for joining our challenge at Can You Handle The Pressure challenge!

    1. Mother Nature is really all over the place. I’m very glad to be retired too. Thanks for another fun challenge.

  2. I’m with Lisa, much prefer paper snow. Love this card though. It is amazing! Your unbranded piece is really nice.

    1. Thanks Johanna, I agree about the snow but will definitely take that over ice. The die is really nice and comes with a bauble die cut but is a bit shorter than the normal A2 size so I needed adjustments.
