My leafy card today uses the debossed embossing blackout technique however I actually used a brown (TE Hot Fudge) ink instead of black. A variety of TE’s reds, yellow, orange and a bit of blue inks were used on my debossed panel of TE’s Lovely Leaves embossing folder which was part of the Combo Club I participate in receiving. I decided to make a gatefold card with a bellyband that was stamped with TE’s Check In background stamp and then die cut a number of leaves from Garden Variety-Fall dies using the same colors as the debossed panels as well as a few cut in honey cardstock with the edges swiped with hot fudge ink arranging them on a hexagon die cut. This card is one I made for a cardswap for the upcoming Taylored Expressions Virtual StampJoy Stay-cation event so all my products were Taylored Expressions.
My card today will be shared with:

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and make it a great day!

Love all your colorful leaves and how nice they look with the brown background. Love the belly band you created as well.
THanks, Lisa, I thought the belly band would break up the darker colors.
Very cool card. Love how you added matching leaves to the belly band. The brown background works great with the leaves.
Thanks, Judy, brown seemed to fit better for a fall card than black.
Lovely card! This technique looks great with brown and the bright leaf colors. Enjoy your event. I hear good things about her events.
Thanks, Lisa. TE events are always fun.
Great fall card. The brown background works great with those colorful leaves. I really like how added the leaves and sentiment to the belly band.
Thanks Gerry.
What a great card Gayle. It has everything for a fall card and is so pretty too.
Thanks Johanna
It turned out beautifully, such pretty colors! Thanks for joining our challenge at Can You Handle The Pressure!
