Taking some inspiration from Buddy Gerry’s recent black and white card, I decided to go that route too. So my background is a little “chilling”for Christmas. The patterned paper is from Whimsy Chilling Christmas patterned paper pack. Not really sure if I like this pack or not…..it is a little dark but I’ll keep working at it. The die cut letters are Taylored Expressions Folk Joy die. I did try adding a red “O” to the card but that definitely didn’t work for me so black and white it is.
My card today will be shared with: Word Power #11 Challenge

I was very surprised that my BOO card was the Top Winner in Word Power’s Challenge #10. I was thrilled and honored.
Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and stay safe.

The paper is dark, but you brightened it up with the white border and letters. Lovely card.
Thanks, Lisa.
It says “peaceful winter night” to me. Beautiful!
Thanks so much Lisa.
I really like this. The white takes away the “chilling” effect. Thanks for the shout out and congrats on the BOO card win.
Thanks, Gerry. Love to find inspiration from our Buddies.
Great card but I understand your comment on the paper pack. To make red work on this card I think you would have to add small amounts to the background as well as the letter O.
Thanks, Johanna, I was happy I decided to keep it black and white.
My first thought was Halloween, but then I looked at the pretty letters and the sweet scene. Definitely not the typical Christmas card, but I like it.
Thanks, Golda, this patterned paper pack does seem to be more Halloween-ish to me too.
I could see where this paper pack would be difficult to work with BUT, you figured it out and your card is fabulous! GREAT JOB!! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our WORD POWER challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.
