Lemon Birthday

I enjoyed creating a card for the Retro Rubber Challenge. It allows me to use what I have and enjoy it once again.

I used the Shine On stamp set from Simon Says Stamp which was released in July 2022. It as part of a kit that used the Simple Stories Vintage Lemon Twist paper pad. I purchased each piece, so I have a lot of this paper left to use.

I colored the lemons with Daffodil Delight and Lemon Lolly inks to watercolor each lemon. I used Lemon Lime Twist to color the leaves. The flowers began with yellows then decided to add more blues, so out came Azure Afternoon; that is why there is a tinge of green in a few of the places. I chose the background paper as it has a mixture of blues to fit the color scheme.

I think I managed four of the colors. I always enjoy this challenge and love color challenges. Thanks for coming by and seeing my creation.

    1. Thank you! Colors challenges are something I enjoy and found watercolor to be fast and worked well. It helps to have SU colors that look so much like the ones that were chosen.

    1. Thank you! I will probably send it very soon and hopefully the person will find it cheerful as well.

  1. Awesome summery card. Lemons are a real rage now in the stamping industry. Love your design, colors and that amazing patterned paper.

    1. Thank you! I have a several lemons in stamp sets, but do not use them a lot. Most of these images have seen little ink since I bought it. I seem to like the window box one the best.
