Embossed x 4

I was inspired by a recent Kristina Werner YouTube video for my card today. Swiping some red and pink inks direct to paper, I die cut a Hero Arts Thinking of You Stamp & Cut word die from the inked cardstock. The sentiment was also layered on 3 additional white die cuts. The top red layer was pressed into versamark and heat set with clear embossing powder 4 times. The focal image was embossed using SimonSaysStamp Circle Rings embossing folder. I’ve been looking at this impression and definitely do not see rings that look like the packaging. Hmmmm….maybe the wrong folder in the package. Anyway after layering on a piece of gray cardstock put everything on a white card base. There is a nice amount of shine by versamark inking, embossing and heating that many times.

My card today will be shared with:

Can You Handle The Pressure? Februrary 10th Anything Goes with An Embossing Folder and a twist of Red/Pink.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe. After a few nice above average days, it could be another snow day on Tuesday! Oh well….it is still winter!

  1. Great CAS design! Love how that greeting really pops. The embossed background looks nice, but odd it doesn’t look like you were expecting it to look. Maybe Simon Says Stamp can explain?

    1. I wonder if I picked this folder up on clearance at SSS. I’ll have to check my stash in case I mixed it up but I don’t believe I did. It’s ok though just different 🙂

  2. Looks great! Your greeting is lovely with the embossing. I did watch Kristina’s video. It leaves a nice effect for the greeting.

  3. A lovely CAS card and I like the way the colours on the sentiment are slightly different shades. Weird how your folder isn’t what you expected.

    1. I know. I’ve had it for awhile. I keep those 3D folders separated from the regular ones so I don’t think I mixed it up with another one. I’ll have to double check.

  4. Simply FABULOUS!!!

Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Can You Handle the Pressure challenge!  Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.
