Two sheets of different patterned papers equals two card backgrounds. I stumbled across StampinUp Lisa Freeman’s YouTube channel as she presented what she entitled Fun Twist to Stack, Cut and Shuffle Technique (not sure if that link worked) and ended up with two granddaughter valentine cards for our 6 year old and our 11 year old. Pretty Pink Posh stamps set was used for the bird and the mailbox. Sentiment strips are Taylored Expressions, circle sentiment was from an ephemera pack found in my stash as was the patterned papers, postage stamp dies are also TE. The bottom is a shaker card and I’m not really sure why I opted for vellum instead of clear but I did so it’s done! LOL.
My cards today will be shared with:
Double D Challenges: Heartfelt – must include a heart. My hearts are tiny but they are there if you look closely.

Cardz 4 Galz #218 Sequins – which are in my shaker element as well as a few other bits other than sequins.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. It’s a beautiful day in our neighborhood. The sun has been shining most of this week. Temps have gone up to above normal. The snow has melted except for the big ugly piles in shopping centers. Maybe the groundhog got it right this year! Take care, be safe.

Ohmygosh Gayle, these are adorable! Love them both.
Thanks, Gerry. I was afraid that the stripes would look like a circus tent at first! LOL but since both papers were from the same pad I think they may have worked ok with each other.
Super cute! I like the shuffle techniques. I enjoy getting layouts I wouldn’t normally plan.
Thanks, Lisa, this is a layout that I normally wouldn’t use either but I kind of liked it for the granddaughters.
Cute cards. It’s always good when you can get two cards for the price of one. The vellum adds a nice subtle touch to the shaker card.
Thanks, Judy, Not sure why I pulled out the vellum instead of clear but it did soften the look and IRL you can still see the shaker sequins.
Well you outdid yourself on these. They are great and I like the vellum shaker personally. I saw on a tutorial, that paper from the same pad is usually going to be coordinated colour wise so usually they work together.
Thanks, Johanna, I thought the same thing that the pads would work well together. I was just a little concerned about the stripes looking too much like a circus tent? But in the end I liked both cards.
So cute! They will love them!
Very fun stack twist and the link works perfectly.

Thanks Darlene and another fun challenge.
Fun cards! I love that you get two cards with this technique.
These are both fabulous cards. Thanks for joining my challenge at Cardz4galz. Love Dawn x
Thanks for a fun challenge.
Both of these cards are wonderful! I really like the sequins under the vellum because the colors show but don’t compete with the bright colors of the DSP. Thanks for joining our sequins challenge at Cardz 4 Galz. I hope to see you in the gallery for our next challenge. Sue – DT
