Autumn Greetings

I used older product to create an autumn leaves card.

I used a set from 2016, SU Blended Seasons. I stamped the leaves in Archival Sepia ink, then used watercolor pencils and a blender pen to add color. It was die cut with the dies that were released with the stamp set. I embossed, GKD Dark Chocolate cardstock with the SU Layered Leaves folder; it is very retired. The greeting came from Your Next Stamp Autumn Greetings, with a date of 2015. I am enjoying creating with product from my stash giving it new life.

We found this interesting fungus growing in our yard. I have never seen anything like this. I thought it looked like Mums, but we have none growing that I am aware of. Enjoy!

  1. Great combination of textures and colors on your fall card. So glad that you are shopping your stash and finding so many good things to play with. That mushroom cluster is quite amazing! We get the occasional mushroom pop up in our yard but never anything like this.

    1. Thanks! I have never seen anything like that mushroom. It is on a cut tree trunk, which is what my husband found. I can’t remember the name.

  2. Beautiful fall card. Your coloring looks great, and I love that dark embossed panel behind your leaves. So pretty! Always good to rediscover supplies we have on hand! Crazy mushrooms!!! I’ve had quite a few this summer but not clustered like that.

  3. Love the combination of the dark background with the fall colored leaves on top, such a gorgeous fall card! Thanks for playing along with us at Can You Handle the Pressure!

  4. Lisa, it is so fun to see what you do with your older supplies. Most interesting is that you know when it’s from. I love that. This is a great card. I love the kraft on the darker brown.

    1. Thanks! I knew when I purchased the SU stamps as it was only available for one month. The YNS stamp took research to find when it was released. Blog posts are quite helpful when looking for dates of product.

    1. My husband has researched last night. I likes to grow on stumps and trees which is where it is growing. We had that tree cut down last year and there is part of the stump still there. Thanks! Sometimes it is fun to pull out the old stamps.

  5. AWESOME result from shopping your stash. Your coloring is perfect. I’ve never seen a mushroom growth like that before.

    1. Thank you! I need to shop my stash more. My autumn ones barely see ink. Yes, the mushroom is quite unusual, I think. It is larger than what was found on the Conservation website.

  6. So pretty, Lisa, what fabulous coloring for those leaves! I remember that set – so graceful! Very lovely design! Thanks so much for playing at Retro Rubber!
