Typing Hello Friend

I have been looking at challenges available in blogland and found the color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches. I like the colors they chose. I am also adding this to Less is More Challenge #491, Anything Goes.

I stamped the typewriter from Hero Arts My Type in Starry Sky. I stamped the words hello friend, from Hero Arts Butterfly & Flower Stamp and Cut set, in Coastal Cabana and GKD Lemon Drop. The circles came from another HA set called Just for You by Lia. The butterflies came from a set from Scrapbook dot com; it really does not have a name. I added the butterfly body and antennae with a Starry Sky marker. I added the Lemon Lolly layer for more color.

I haven’t used the typewriter set in a long time. It was fun to stamp it again. I was inspired by the designer, Jeanne, who used the SU set with the typewriter in the annual catalog. It looks like a fun set, but since I have this typewriter, I have not purchased it.

  1. What a fun card Lisa. Love that old typewriter. My younger grandkids probably don’t even know what a typewriter is

    1. Thank you! I agree. We have an electric typewriter that still works, but possibly couldn’t get ribbons if needed.

  2. Most people don’t know what a typewriter is. I love this one. Great colours and in my opinion a good take on the challenge.

    1. Thanks! Many young people are clueless as to a typewriter. I used to be a decent typist. Electric ones were much easier.

  3. Lisa your retro typewriter is lovely and I especially like the detail of your ‘typed’ message and the addition of the tiny butterflies – cute! A beautifully CAS card. Thanks for sharing with us over at CAS Colours & Sketches this week!

  4. This is wonderful Lisa! That typewriter looks so good in our challenge colors! Thanks so much for playing along with us at CC&S!
