Christmas Scene Frame

I’ve been inspired to CASE a CASE of a CASE Stamp Buddies card today and while I’m CASE-ing a card I may just as well make it a Christmas in July card. An old Inkadinkadoo red rubber mounted stamp was used to create my scene. The frame was die cut using Art Impressions Rectangle Double Stitched die, a Sizzix embossing folder, sentiment strip from my stash as well as a snowflake and a few other small embellishments complete my card today. But while I was playing with Christmas in July and the CASE why not make another card. So here’s card CASE #2:

This image was another red rubber mounted stamp by Penny Black. It’s a little larger than card #1 so I decided on Hero Arts Wood Frame Infinity die, Spellbinder’s poinsettia and sentiment strip again from my stash. I thought this one needed a little color. Both cards were stamped using Taylored Expressions Poppy Seed ink.

My cards today will be shared with:

  1. Wow – aren’t we the clever ones, CASEing each other and getting mileage out of stamps. You have given me some ideas for continuing on this theme as I too have some village images that would work for Christmas cards. I love both of these and adding the pop of colour to the 2nd one was a good idea. You did a lovely job with your frame choices and having some embossing behind the first one adds texture and interest.

  2. Elegant and yet masculine!! Thanks for playing along with our “Christmas in July” challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz!! You rocked the Christmas elements with your snowy scene and then nailed the masculine element with your village in the black and white color combo!! -Deb Horst, DT #C4G326

  3. What great cards! I like the poinsettia in the corner of the second one. I like how you did them both a bit differently. Those frames are lovely.

  4. Both are beautiful. I like how you made them similar but not exactly alike. How cool to CASE a Stamp Buddies card.

  5. love the uniqueness of this frame Christmas card that you’ve created. So special, thank you for joining us at C4Guyz
