Summer Flip-Flops

Today was a good day to use the Flip-Flop image from Lawn Fawn. Our temperature is 96 degrees as I type this, and any kind of sandal is the preferred footwear for this season.

I used Simply Celebrate Summer and Simply Summer Sentiments from Lawn Fawn for this CAS card. The colors used are SU Calypso Coral, Soft Sea Foam, and Misty Moonlight all from the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. The other challenge this will be entered in is the Four Seasons Summer Season challenge. I watercolored the sandals with the SU inks and a water brush. I added a layer of Misty Moonlight cardstock and called the card complete. I used the same layout for another card today. I often will make several cards with the same layout.

  1. I love this “version” too! Such a versatile design, and could work with any color scheme. These colors work well with your summer flip flops!

    1. Thanks! Yes, this design is so easy. I just adjusted the size of the matted layer and both are so similar. Both were easy to color. I think that is why I like the Simply line from Lawn Fawn.

  2. This is a great CAS card and would also work well if it was a colour challenge. I love it. The layout is just right.

    1. Thank you! I hadn’t looked at the mood board before making this card. I was glad to see flip-flops on that board.

  3. I love the flip flops, Lisa. SO cute. Thanks for sharing your wonderful art with us at The Four Seasons Challenge.
