Daylily

I made a lily card today in honor of the Featured Stamper at Splitcoast Stampers. Since everything used is over a year old, it makes the perfect card for the Retro Rubber Challenge.

The stamp set used is Thank You Floral by Gina K Designs from 2018. I colored it with So Saffron SU Blends (alcohol markers) which matched the embossed panel. I used the SU Ornate Floral Embossing Folder from 2020. I love the small flower print and use it quite a bit. The other markers used are Spectrum Noir Citrus Green colors and one of the brown ones.

This will be entered in the Retro Rubber Challenge: https://www.retrorubberchallengeblog.com/my-blog/2023/05/challenge-207-anything-goes.html

I like this lily. I left a sentiment off so it can be used for anything. Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Thank you! I never realized how much I like this color until it retired. It is the same color as Sweet Corn by Gina K. She doesn’t keep the cardstock available in her store. I should have stocked up.

  1. You have great colouring skills Lisa. This is wonderful and I love how you made the lily colours match the background.

    1. Thank you! I have one piece left of that color of cardstock, unless more is hiding. I bought the alcohol markers on discount and found that I really like them. I never knew how pretty of a color it was till it was retired. I will find a good substitute.

  2. Beautiful card. Adding the black layer to the embossed and focal panel really makes them stand out.

  3. The pale yellows with the black is such a striking combination, and your card looks great! Just the right amount of texture and white space, and beautifully colored focal image.

  4. This is really pretty! Something being a year old seems quite new, but you did a great job using your “not brand spanking new” supplies!
