Marigold Slimline

It has been a long time since I have made a slimline card. The CAS Colours & Sketches has a sketch that makes a slimline card, so I dusted off the cobwebs and got busy making a slimline card. I own many dies for this card size and used not even one with this card.

For this card, I used a variety of products. I used Technique Tuesday Marigold Flower (2021) coloring it with Pale Papaya and Mint Macaron both SU colors that are retiring in two weeks. The Hello die and mini strip are Gina K Designs from A Little Hello Layering Stencil Bundle (2021). The patterned paper is SU, cut down from a card base.

This will be entered in three challenges.

I enjoyed making this card. Finding several challenges that it seems to fit into are a plus. Thanks for spending time with me today.

  1. This is a nice card. I like the colors. Though the fact that they “retire” colors seems silly. Colors should just be added to.

  2. Love the marigolds and your coloring. The soft pale mint patterned paper definitely compliments the flowers. Great design and sentiment.

    1. Thanks! It matches the ink perfectly. I struggled with the sentiment strip the most. I finally found a place for it.

  3. Wow, Lisa, that is a gorgeous marigold stamp – love your soft coloring for it! Just a beautiful card all ’round! Thanks so much for playing at Retro Rubber!
