Stenciled Love

Crazy is our fame — Stencils are our game!

The theme for the February Stencil Fun challenge blog is the required stencil and optional challenge of including hearts. My card includes Taylored Expressions Rotating Heart Stencil. The bottom portion of my ‘barn’ door flap was embossed using a Sizzix embossing folder. The love die was cut from a previous project stenciled background and layered on Spellbinder’s Fancy Tags die cut in vellum. Martha Stewart Heart border punch was used for the scattering of gold hearts.

I was happy to share my card in this fun challenge. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.

  1. Love that die cut, and it looks great cut from the stenciled panel you created. Very cool “barn door” card opening. Love the pink, gray (vellum), and puprle color combination as well.

  2. Great card Gayle. Love the fun fold and your soft colors. Purple is a gorgeous color almost anytime (not so much in bruises). Stenciling with all those colors must have taken quite awhile, but it was worth it. The embossed straight lines for the door is a good contrast to all the rounded hearts. Once again, that die cut sentiment is great.

  3. What is not to love about this card starting with the colors??? The fun fold, stenciling, embossing and die cuts make a perfect card.

  4. I like the colours and the embossing folder you’ve used. Interesting to use the barn door idea and the sentiment is great. Good take on the challenge.
