Forest Bird

Peace on Earth #32

For this anything goes Christmas challenge and the mood board posted for inspiration, found this little die cut bird. After diecutting cutting him off the branch I decided upon a SimonSaysStamp Forest Border embossing folder for my background and a landing place for the bird. The panel was embossed on navy cardstock, swiped with white pigment ink, edges ink blended with Black Soot Distress ink and a little white splatter. The snow hills are also SSS and sentiment is from Artful Inkables Peaceful Wishes stamp set.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.

    1. Thanks, Bonnie, I wasn’t sure if I liked it at first and kept adding more white pigment ink over the trees to help them stand out more. I appreciate your support.

    1. Thanks, Golda, I was hoping that extra shading would show a little dimension. I appreciate you stopping in.

  1. Oh Gayle, this is so beautiful and peaceful. I agree with the shading around the edges. I think blue and white Christmas cards are so peaceful.

    1. Thanks, Gerry, I was stumped for a while and not sure if the bird is best size but I was happy with the finished card.
