Rose Hello

I found a few challenges that I thought would be fun to create for.

For this card I used Paper Smooches Rosy Posy set. Paper Smooches has been closed for well over a year, but I have never inked this set and colored it. The greeting is from Simon Says Stamp You Shine. This set was part of a card kit, which I did not purchase. I did purchase the patterned paper used in the kit and recently the stamp set went on sale, so I took the plunge and purchased it. It worked well for the greeting.

One challenge is CAS Colours & Sketches: http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2023/01/challenge-501-colors.html

I used watercolor with the colors for this challenge. After the image was dry, I tried adding texture with the small end of the Cherry Cobbler marker. I liked the effect.

The second challenge is The Sisterhood of Crafters: Something New: https://thesisterhoodofcrafters.blogspot.com/2023/01/something-new.html

Since both images were never inked before, they are considered new to me.

The third challenge is Cardz 4 Galz: http://cardz4galz.blogspot.com/2023/01/190-cas-clean-and-simple.html

I left a lot of white space, so this is definitely a clean and simple card.

It was fun using these colors, finding items in my stash, and creating a card. I am not sure who will receive this card, but hopefully soon I will find the person to send it to.

    1. Thanks! The PS one was in my stash unused for over a year. I have a few more that were purchased when the shop closed. I need to challenge myself to ink them up and use them.

  1. This is so pretty Lisa. I love the colours and the additional texture you added to the image. I think it’s a great take for all those challenges and thanks for the support regarding Cardz4galz.

    1. Thank Johanna! I had fun with coloring the card. I have more CAS ideas but we will see how much time I have for creating.

  2. Such a pretty floral image watercolored beautifully and the added specks on the petals added so much dimension to your card. Awesome that you made it work for all of these challenges.

    1. Thank you! I enjoyed creating using the colors. The dots was an afterthought, but my daughter told me it looked good.

  3. I love the bold image on your simple design. It’s lovely. Thanks for joining us at Cardz4galz. Love Dawn x
