I had fun coloring the newest free digital image from Gerda Steiner Designs.

I do not make a lot of New Year’s cards. This will go to my swap partner, Michelle. I am participating in a Baker’s Dozen swap at Splitcoast Stampers, which means we swap cards for 13 weeks. This is for week 5.
The image is from Gerda Steiner Designs and it is free: https://gsd-stamps.com/collections/shop-digital-stamps/products/2023-freebie
I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils in Gold and Silver. I did add a bit of orange for the beaks. I came back and used a gold pen quite a bit to make the gold brighter. I used Stickles for the hat and scarfs. I am happy with the card. I think Michelle will like it.
The inside is Stampin Up and The Stamps of Life product. This penguin was colored so I added him.
The colors for this card were from the Color Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. I placed it in the gallery for that challenge. It was selected as the favorite last week.

So cute!
The image is a delight and I so appreciate your sharing it. Your coloring is super and penguins too cute.
Thanks! It is a fun image.
How totally cute. The penguins are having a lot of fun celebrating the new year. LOVE the inside sentiment. It is so perfect for a New Year’s card.
Thank you! I went searching and this greeting showed up and I realized I owned it.
What a fun card! Love the stickles on the white of the hats and the balls. They look all fluffy.
Thanks! They are fluffy. I made the mistake of adding then die cutting, so they were flattened out. I came back and added again and set it aside to dry.
Adorable card and great image. Thanks for sharing the link.
Super cute! The silver and gold is perfect for a new year’s card
Now here is an adorable Happy New Year card. Love those cute little penguins.
This is such an adorable card and your colouring is impressive. So cute.
