Prickly Pumpkin Patch

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge

So, don’t laugh, but this mood board for the November challenge really stumped me! I felt like I was in the middle of Halloween night and there was no candy left to hand out or much less enjoy! I always like to play along with the theme and take inspiration from the mood board so I remembered a Gina K Designs stamps set with cactus (cacti) in pot which I stamped, colored and die cut. Then found some old wood block pumpkin stamps that I colored and fussy cut. The left grouping of pumpkins had no faces so I made my own. Patterned paper was from my stash. I covered up the black cat with another pumpkin and added a ephemera sentiment.

Here’s the mood board:

Maybe I should been inspired by the wreath!!! I didn’t want to miss this challenge since I’ve been playing along since they began.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, stay safe, keep warm.

    1. Thanks, Lisa, it was difficult to get back into Halloween after finishing Thanksgiving and working on Christmas cards.

  1. Oh how you crack me up – “no candy left to hand out or much less enjoy!”. Probably what a kid would think if you did hand out cacti. The details found in all the fun elements you put together is inspiring.

  2. I was laughing because you told me no to and I couldn’t resist after reading the rest. No inspiration and yet you came up with something truly creative and fun. This is a clever take on the challenge.

  3. AWESOME! For someone who was stumped at the start, you certainly figured it out and created an awesome card! But I agree … your story cracked me up! LOL We are so thrilled you have stuck with us over on TOB even on the ‘off months’. Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Two Old Bats challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often. We appreciate your support!

  4. I love the mood board! That top left pumpkin is amazing. Your card really did justice to the board. It’s a very different card, but it’s fun.
