scenic Route Quad

I signed up for the Taylored Expressions Stamp Joy Fall on line stamp class. The class included this Scenic Route Quad stencil. So much fun to use these quad stencils. Four different stencils and when you are finished ink blending you have four different backgrounds. Very clever. On two of the backgrounds, we used a second stencil to ink in the same color on a section of the quad and the technique for the Happy Birthday card is to lightly spray that background after ink blended and cut apart with Pixie spray then take a piece of foil (the type for a laminator) and lay it on top lightly pressing on the foil. It leaves little bits of foil on your background. So no splatter needed. It was a fun class and I enjoy working with these quad stencils. Now I need suggestoins for different inks.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and stay safe. Baseball is officially over and although my Phillies didn’t win the World Series…wow….what a season those underdogs have given Will and myself.

  1. This stencil set is so pretty! I watched Crafty Al’s VLOG and she shared this stencil with her and her daughter’s cards. Have fun creating with several ink colors. Your cards are so pretty!

    1. Thanks, Lisa, I like these quad stencils and I watched Crafty Al’s VLOG too. I think she went to the weekend but I was happy to do the virtual road trip.

  2. What a beautiful set of cards Gayle! Sounds like you had fun making them, too. You could use any colors with them, even shades of gray and black for a night scene. Just have fun playing!

  3. These are amazing Gayle. I love the colours and like everyone else think you can use pretty much any colour combo you like. Try purples for fun. I must check out the stencils.

  4. Gayle, these are beautiful. What a fun stencil. I think using your favorite color combo would really be pretty.

  5. This is a very cool stencil set, and I love the fun colors you chose for these cards! Love the foil flecks you added to the birthday card design. They all came out great!
