Holiday Card Workshop 2022 – Day 1 Die Cutting
Jennifer McGuire’s class today was Faux Laser Cut Cards. It was fun and relatively easy to follow once I decided on all of the supplies from my stash. Primarily how to add extra die cuts to a large open die cut area. She made an A2 and a 5×7 card but I opted to stick with the A2. My card uses SimonSaysStamp Holiday Frames die and Tim Holtz greenery dies.

Day 1 – Layers of Die-Cuts
This is an “extra credit” card taught by Dawn Wolesagle to created layered die cuts and add more dimension by adding ink to the die cut pieces. It was a fun card. I had one poinsettia die in my stash however it didn’t include any embossed lines so my poinsettia may be a little on the plain side. The frames were cut using Taylored Expressions Frame in Frame 3 cutting plate, Tim Holtz Festive Trims dies, SimonSaysStamp Christmas Foilage and sentiment from Gina K Designs’s Winter Flower.
Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.
P.S. I wasn’t sure if I would get my homework finished but the World Series game in Philly was canceled due to rain!
Very pretty!
Your accomplishments from your class inspiration is outstanding. I so like the simple petals with all the shimmer card. More details could have created more of a fight.
Thanks, Bonnie, I appreciate your support.
Love your cards! Glad you were able to create with what you had. I like your poinsettia with the frames. Very pretty!
Thanks, Lisa, I’m glad I signed up for these classes.
Great job with the homework. Your cards are very pretty.
Your cards are beautiful. I think the one with the poinsettia is beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thanks for stopping in Amy. I appreciate it and the classes are fun.
Glad you were able to create due to the rainout! Love both of your cards.
Both cards came out great! Cool that you chose your “large die” for the faux laser cut technique to include the greeting. And your layered poinsettia looks AMAZING!!
Thanks so much Lisa. I was really pleased with that poinsettia card. It may be one to reproduce.
