Leaf Trio

I made a card today for a Use Your Stash challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. The theme is leaves. I see that the Shopping Our Stash Weekly Challenge is also leaves. I will add it to that challenge as well.

The leaves and swirls are from a stamp set from Gina K Designs called Stitched Leaves. The cardstock I used is called Blue Lagoon, also GKD. The greeting is from a Paper Pumpkin kit. I had several sheets of backgrounds I created a few months ago using the Polished Stone technique. I stamped the leaves and cut them from two of those pieces.

I love challenges that enable me to use my stash. It has been a long time since these images have seen ink and I enjoyed creating with this set.

  1. I’ve always liked this stamp set and still use mine quite a bit. I love what you did here. It is really pretty.

    1. Thanks! I think the embossing hides a lot of the colors, but I find using embossing ink works better than other ink I have tried to stamp on this background. Stazon ink would work as it is glossy paper, but I do not like the smell of that ink, so do not use it. I have tried it before.

  2. Beautiful embossed leaves!! Way to go shopping your stash!! Love your take on our “leaf me alone” challenge over at SOS…we are so glad you joined the fun and played along!!

  3. I love the shine on your leaves, gold embossing is always special and it really works with the blue. Thanks for Shopping your Stash with us this time.

  4. Your polished stone backgrounds were perfect for those gorgeous leaves … so very glad you joined our LEAF Me Alone Challenge at Shopping Our Stash.
