I usually have a few sympathy cards in my stash, but often not a one layer one. I like having several so when I need them, I don’t have to rush and make one.

I was inspired by buddies Gayle and Johanna to create a one layer sympathy card. I used the Simon Says Stamp Vintage Garden set to produce this card. I embossed everything in clear powder over black ink, but wanted a bit of color. Out came Stampin’ Up markers to add a bit of color using Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight.

Thanks for the nudge to create this card.
Your added color adds just the right touch to this warm, heart-felt creation.
Thanks! I think even sympathy cards need a bit of color.
Very pretty and soothing one layer card.
Thank you! I like the color and was trying not to have it too bright.
This is gorgeous! Love the color you added.
Thank you!
So pretty, Lisa. The added color and butterfly placement is lovely. So glad you played along with this challenge.
Thank you! Glad you made a card that inspired me to create one.
Very pretty, Butterflies are always good for sympathy cards since they represent immortality, and yours are perfectly placed. Great coloring on the flowers.
Thank you! I wanted to add the butterflies as they seemed to add a bit more to the white space. I like color and rarely to well with black and white which is what I started with.
This is such a nice sympathy card Lisa. It has a lovely feel to it and I like the soft colours you’ve used.
This is a lovely sympathy card.
