Batty Envelope Treat Bag

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge

The September Anything Halloween challenge with the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge and the mood board for inspiration was a stumper for me this month. I did a cat on last month’s challenge and I didn’t care to repeat the llamas so my focus turned to the bat favors. After spending some time surfing and looking for ideas on YouTube and Pinterest, I found a video from Creative Chelsey who made treat bags from A2 envelopes. A cute idea and it worked out pretty well. The bottom of the envelope was sponged using Hero Arts inks and some TH Black Soot, the bats are from a SimonSaysStamp mini stencil and my stamped image is Stampendous Fluffles Vamp, patterned paper and ribbon from my stash.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.

  1. Cute! I like bat. Chelsea loves to take the envelopes and turn them into something different. I watch her when I purchase a Paper Pumpkin kit as she uses every piece of the kit.

    1. Thanks, Bonnie, the envelope bag looks better IRL. I’ve been collecting so many Halloween cards so I figured I’d try something different than a card.

  2. Your whole piece turned out really well, but that bat is hilarious and steals the show. Love how you colored him, as well as the inking on the envelope.

    1. LOL…I wanted to have a red bat for my red hair but I just couldn’t find the right color for it. Thanks, Golda.

  3. Oh WOW!! That Vampire kitty is so very “terrifying” LOL!! Love it!!
Thank you for sharing with us at 2 OLD BATS HALLOWEEN CHALLENGE.
    Stay healthy and safe.
