Challenge #18 with the Peace on Earth – Anything Christmas features a black and white mood board. I decided to use Gina K Designs’ Soft Stone and Slate inks to create my card instead of the more stark black. After creating my oval stencil with Spellbinder’s Classic Ovals and a cloud stencil in the lighter soft stone ink, I pulled out GKD’s Christmas Wishes stamp set and stamped everyting in Slate ink. Layered on white card base so I guess it’s greys and white on white.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.
Beautiful in shades of gray. That tree is still one of my favorite stamps for the holidays.
Thanks, Judy, I love the shape of that tree, too, and this set is one of my faves.
Beautiful and peaceful scene! Thank you for joining our challenge at Peace On earth!

Thanks, Diane, I was sorry to learn of the passing of Kathy Krug, your freind and teammate. Her talent will be missed by all.
Very pretty card! I haven’t seen the soft stone ink. Pretty color and looks great with the slate.
Thanks, Lisa, I like the soft, light color of that ink and it pairs well with the slate. Thanks for stopping in.
Now you know why gray is one of my favorite colors. Baby it is cold outside.
Thanks, Bonnie, I was thinking of you as I reached for my grays. I think they worked very well on this card.
WOW! Gray and white really makes a “cool” Christmas card. This card is so pretty.
Gayle, this is gorgeous! I love that you “softened” the black by using grays, as you created a beautiful scene with them, and it’s still a “black and white” card. You are one talented lady!
I absolutely love this card. It is wonderful and how you used the grays to keep to the mood board but with that softened effect is genius. I agree with Golda you are one Talented lady.
