Monochromatic Triple Time Stamping

Yes, that is a mouthful! I spent a little time stamping. It has been a while since I just stamped because I wanted to. I chose to create a monochromatic card using ink colors in the same color family.

I used the ink colors Tranquil Teal, Tempting Turquoise, and Ocean Mist, all from Gina K Designs. These are basically a light, medium, and dark in the same color family. I used a set from Stampin Up called Delicate Dahlias for the floral portion of this card. There is an outline of the flower and a solid to fill it in. There is also a leaf in both outline and solid that matches this small flower image. The greeting came from a different Stampin Up set called Happy Thoughts. I decided to add a bit of bling and placed sequins on each flower center and a few near the greeting.

I need to remember to just sit down and stamp and create for the enjoyment rather than for a specific reason. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I can see the joy this brought to your spirit. Oh what a great fun creation and what a great job you did getting the bling to show up in your photo.

  2. So pretty, Lisa. It’s so much more fun to stamp just for the joy of it, isn’t it. I always liked the triple time stamping technique and your card is a wonderful example of it. Worked really well for the monochromatic color challenge.

    1. Thank you! I seem to be creating for an occasion, a class, or for Splitcoast. I enjoy those, but need to remember to just sit and create for the joy it brings.

  3. Lisa, this is so pretty. Love the color and the bling. Thanks for reminding me of triple time stamping.

    1. Thank you! It has been a long time since I made one. I had to look the sizes up to know the size of the pieces. Make it again. I would love to see it.

  4. Beautiful card Lisa. I really like your choice of colors. I’ve never tried Triple Time Stamping. It looks like fun and how great that you could stamp just for the fun of it.

    1. It is a fun fancy card design. People are turning the layers in different directions and layering them different sometimes, but I chose the basic design. Give it a try. I think you might enjoy it. Thanks!

  5. This is just lovely Lisa. Your triple layers are perfect – I’ve never gotten mine so well done. Love the colour choices too. The bling is a great addition.

    1. Thank you! These have the one fourth inch border between layers. I think that is the easiest. I enjoyed the process.

  6. Oh Lisa this is just beautiful … love your overall design! Great job and yes, sometimes just crafting for fun is so rewarding! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Double D ‘Monochromatic’ challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often. We appreciate your support!!

  7. It’s so fun to just create for fun and not for a challenge or purpose. Glad you had that fun and you definitely created something beautiful.
