I got inspired by Buddies Gayle and Johanna to create with a mermaid, so off to the Dragonfly Creative Challenge to give this a try.
My mermaid is from Your Next Stamp. The shells are from the same set. The waves were created using a stencil from A Colorful Life. The dragonflies are flying out from behind the shells as they like to hang out there. They are from a Hero Arts/Sizzix stamp and die set. Fun challenge! I enjoyed creating the card.

Lisa, I am loving your mermaid and dragonfly card. The waves make a wonderful scene for that all too cute mermaid using her “shell” phone. Cute, Cute, Cute!! Love how you incorporated the dragonflies and your write up. So glad you played in this challenge, too.

Thank you! It was hard to find a place for the dragonflies, then I thought of fish. I figured they might be trying to hide.
I agree with all the other comments. This is a fun card and placing the dragonflies the way you did is perfect.
Thanks! This card took me out of my slump. I colored images all week long and I was never happy. I was pleased with this card.
