Blues Silhouette

As You Can See It Challenge 273

“The call it the blues” is the challenge 273 over at the As You Can See It challenge blog. Gorgeous Stampin Up colors of Night of Navy, Pacific Point and Balmy Blue for this color challenge.

Using a Taylored Expressions A2 mask, I first ink blended my substitute Gina K Designs inks for the Stampin Up colors. First up in the smallest rectangle was Navy, then Blue Raspberry and finally Powder Blue. My silhouette image is also GKD’s Friendly Silhouettes which was stamped in versamark ink and white heat embossed. Sentiment was from the same stamp set and was gold heat embossed on vellum.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.

    1. Thanks Lisa. It is a great color combination and was pretty easy to substitute for the SU colors.

  1. So beautiful, Gayle! Perfect blending! And I always love pretty stems, lol. I really like how you did the sentiment – that little puff of dimension is great in vellum! Neat trick! Thanks so much for playing at As You See It!

  2. This is both beautiful and cleverly done! The softly sponged rectangles are lovely. Using them as a backdrop for the silhouettes was a great idea. Thanks for joining in with us at As You See It Challenge again,

    1. Thanks, Golda, normally I stamp silhouettes in black but was hoping that the white would work out just as well.

    1. LOL….well you know how you don’t always see everything before taking the picture? Well afterwards I saw my right side mat was larger than it should be and the sentiment strip was not fitting as tightly as it should have on the card front. I need to inspect these oops before posting. Thanks for the support.

  3. Great ink blending and colour matching, Gayle. And the die cut grasses are a lovely focal point! Thanks for getting colourful with us at As You See It Challenges!

  4. Your trio of blue frames is so clever Gayle – it almost looks inspired by the geode on our challenge badge! The perfect backdrop for your white grasses too. Thanks for sharing with us over at As You See It this week!
