Warm Wishes

Just Add Ink #600

The challenge with the Just Add Ink blog is an inspiration photo depicting the southern hemisphere who are enjoying the cooler temperatures and the season of Autumn. So for my card I opted on the wonderful warm fall colors highlighting some Gina K Designs Sweet Mango cardstock. I embossed the top portion of Sweet Mango with SimonSaysStamp’s Kaleidoscope embossing folder. My bottom portion was stamped and inked using SSS’s wood planks background stamp and inking it in some brown ink. The card base is a navy blue and I alternated the SSS Chunky Happy die between the sweet mango and navy cardstock. Sentiment is GKD’s Stamp It Big stamp set and leaves are Sizzix’s Sizzlits Little Leaves die.

Thanks so much for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.

  2. This is a great card and I can definitely see that it was inspired by the photo. It may be “autumn” colors, but it’s perfect for anytime.

    1. Thanks, Golda, I’m thinking it would work as a masculine card. Probably for my hubby this year.

  3. This is great Gayle. You chose everything very well and achieved the perfect look doing it. Love the design and EF you used.

    1. Thanks Judy. I liked the size of that large die and it helped cover the edges of the two different cardstock layers.

  4. This is so pretty! I love how you’ve picked the soft colours and leaf pattern and contrasted this with your bold sentiment and pop of pink. Thanks for sharing with us at Just Add Ink this week.

  5. Lots of lovely texture and I love that the bold sentiment really pops and catches the eye. Thanks for joining our JAI inspiration challenge this week. Di
