Today I used a stamp set I just received for my birthday. I love the Gina K Designs Spring Tulips mini set, so I chose that set for a gift.

I saw this idea on Pinterest where the originator places the tulip set above and below the greeting, so I wanted to try her method. I love the outcome. I colored the tulips and leaves with Spectrum Noir markers. After coloring, I placed the colored layer back in my MISTI and stamped with Versafine Black Onyx ink embossing with clear powder. It brought the lines back and gave it a bit of shine. I used Spellbinders dies to cut the image and black layer, then mounted on a white card base.
I am adding this to the fourseasons: April Spring Challenge. Tulips are Spring Flowers so it fits that challenge. I am adding this to Seize the Birthday, Signs of Spring.
Stamp Buddies 
Great job on this card Lisa! I’ve been trying to remember to leave my stamps in my platform to restamp after coloring. Sometimes I remember, other times I totally forget. Restamping does work wonderfully. I’ll have to try embossing the lines, as well.
I have to remember to place it exactly where I stamped it for it to work. I still cringe thinking I am messing it up. Thanks!
Beautiful, Lisa, I love the tulip colors and your card design. Great idea to leave the stamp in the Misti to restamp and add more detail after coloring. I missed seeing your posts.
Thank you! I haven’t had much time to just create what I want. Hopefully I will get a better handle on my time and be able to just create what I want when I want. I did enjoy just creating and coloring.
