Mardi Gras

Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges #3

The challenge with Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges #3 theme is Mardi Gras with the added dragonfly. I chose Mardi Gras colors of purple, green and gold. So thought my Spellbinders Fleur DeLis die would be appropriate and die cut the smallest die in green and purple and a glitter gold.

My dragonfly for this card is an unbranded die and was cut in a green/gold designer paper and layered on top of a purple die cut dragonfly. The sentiment is Gina K Designs Enjoyable Greetings Stamp & Die set. I think this card is growing on me!!! Not 100% yet especially since that top green layer is a little crooked 🙂 I can live with it and it’s better than horrible!!

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you. Take care and be safe.

  1. Stop looking at perceived faults and look at the whole. It is beautiful and fits the challenge really well. I was just looking at this one and wondering what I could do for it. I spent the last few days working on the guest design I’m doing for the next one. Love the colours you used and think the design is great.

    1. I know, Johanna, but that crooked little corner just bothered me a little more than usual. Oohh I can’t wait to see what you make for next month.

  2. Way Way better than horrible. Love how you used the fleur de lis die. The dragonfly is a great addition.

  3. I never would have caught the less than perfect placement. Nature is never perfectly symmetrical so I figure why should we try so hard to be? Colors are defiantly Mardi Gras
