Odd title?–stayed tuned.

The chicken is from SU Birds of a Feather set as well as the greeting. I found heart stamps in other sets from Gina K Designs, but can’t remember which set I grabbed the hearts from. The row of hearts border is from a Sizzix set designed by Stephanie Bernard that has a lot of hearts on it, but again, don’t have the name handy.

I saw this idea on Pinterest where it had the chicken at the top and red gingham at the bottom. I changed her idea from ribbon to the heart border. My background was so plain, so the hearts were added. I made 5 of these cards total. They will be going to an assisted living center.

This card is also being added to Watercooler Wednesday All About Occasions Challenge. I have been watching this challenge for quite some time, but have never entered or it has been quite a while.

  1. This is adorable…love the whimsy and your design. Your chicken has so much character. The assisted living recipients will love their card. So sweet of you to brighten their days.

    1. Thank you! The original card I saw did not have anything in the background and I was thinking hearts for texture with an embossing folder, but I have no heart embossing folders!–couldn’t believe it. Versamark is the next best thing and it did the trick.

    1. Thank you! I am not a large fan of ribbon as it takes up a lot of space on the card and is a bit bulky. These will be hand delivered, but I do like the hearts better.

    1. Thank you! My goal was to get these in the mail by the end of January, so I best get busy with the other ones I hoped to create.
