Favorite Pumpkin

Two Old Bats January Anything Halloween

It’s 1 am and probably past the witching hour but when you cannot fall asleep why not make one more card for the Two Old Bats January 2022 Anything Halloween challenge. So that’s exactly what I did. I was inspired by the pumpkins on this month’s mood board so got out my Fiskars spring loaded scissor and began fussy cutting pumpkins from a piece of Gina K Designs Spooktacular You patterned paper pack. (This is the best scissors for fussy cutting especially when you are not a fan of fussy cutting.) After arranging my pumpkin pile and using some Glad Press n Seal to save the order of pumpkins, I got busy on my background layer. I began by blending some Distress Oxide inks in wilted violet, seedless preserves, dusty concord and black soot and then used Hero Arts woodgrain fancy cover die to complete this panel. The finishing touches were to white heat emboss my SSS Creepy Cute stamp set sentiment and give a few spritzes of Wilted Violet spray to the card.

Here’s the fun mood board for the January challenge:

I think I can go to bed now and hopefully fall asleep. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. Take care and be safe.

  1. Oh dear … no fun when you can’t fall asleep but you sure made the best of your time on this cool card! I do a fair amount of fussy cutting and was just looking for another pair of scissors … will have to check out the Fiskars brand. Thanks so much for joining in the fun at the Two Old Bats Halloween challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back each month. Remember, if we have 50+ entries, (you can enter THREE times), we will give a PRIZE.

  2. So cute! So neat that you were able to find the paper to cut pumpkins from. You did a great job on the fussy cutting.

  3. My goodness, all that fussy cutting, but you did a great job and it really looks like the stack of pumpkins on the mood board. Gotta love that Press n Seal

  4. Well I’m not the only one who occasionally crafts in the middle of the night. Great use of your time while you try to get sleepy. Love your stack of pumpkins and the fussy cutting of same.

  5. Oh, I hate when I have one of those nights! But at least you put your sleepless night to good use! Your card with the stack of pumpkins is wonderful! Thanks for sharing with us at Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge!
