I made a card with Falliday Fest and Splitcoast Stampers where the challenge is to place a gnome on the card for a holiday. I chose Christmas and made a punch art gnome.

I used paper from Celebrate Christmas with Echo Park for the background and greeting. The greeting is from a set from The Stamps of Life, snowglobe2stamp. I used punches to create the gnome. The feet are punched with SU Perennial Flower punch, the body with an SU Ornament punch, the nose with a 5/8 inch circle punch, and the beard with a leaf die from a hibiscus set, and the hat is a Spellbinders triangle die. I had a snowflake eyelet in my stash which worked for the hat decoration. The snowflake in the background is from a Cherry Lynn die. I had snowflake embellishment to add.
I had fun creating this. I found the directions from Dawn Olchefske on a Pinterest post.
Too cute, so clever to punch the pieces and create this gnome. Reminds me of the game potato head.
The funny thing is there are punch instructions for Mr. Potato head on Pinterest. I may have to look. I had fun with this and am working on an Autumn one for a thank you card.
Your gnome turned out so cute. Love how you used the different die cuts to create it.
Thank you, Judy! It is always fun to create something new with items in my stash.
Super cute and so very creative, Lisa. Love the background paper for your gnome.
Thank you! I was so thrilled to find Christmas paper that I hadn’t used that worked perfectly for this. I am working on another gnome for Autumn. Since the punches and dies are out, have to keep creating till I put them away.
Very cute. Love that punched gnome. Black, red & white is one of my favorite color combos.
Thank you, Gerry! I enjoyed making both cards. I have another gnome in Autumn colors.
So cute! LOVE the gnome you created with all those shape punches!!
This is a great card, Lisa. I really like the fun look of your gnome. It kind of looks like you’re looking down at him a bit, which is perfect for a gnome. I’m looking foward to seeing your autumn one.
Thanks! I guess I should post the Autumn one. 🙂
What a great way to create a gnome. He looks good on the background.
