Watercolor Slimline

I am sharing my card for the Challenge Your Stash group at Splitcoast Stampers. I will also enter this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.

The background is watercolor with pigment powders from Stampin Up. I used Bristol Smooth paper for all of the watercolor pieces. The gold die cuts are using MFT Floral Focus Card kit dies. I found the best way to cut these dies is with the die face up and add waxed paper between the die and paper. The theme for the Challenge Your Stash is watercolor, so I used watercolor pieces from my stash.

  1. Gorgeous background created for those pesky dies, Lisa. Your determination with those dies was worth it with such a gorgeous end result.

  2. You did a fantastic job on this card Lisa and I’m glad you finally got the right combo for using the dies. I have trouble sometimes and my plates always end up with a bubble in the middle making them virtually useless.

    1. Thank you! I kept bending the metal plate back straight as it was getting quite warped. Not sure what that meant as it wasn’t being helpful. I am not sure if I will use the gold foil again, but it is pretty when it cuts well.

  3. This is amazing. The die cuts are gorgeous. Sorry you had to go through all the frustrations with the dies.
