Hummingbird in Flight

Today is the day I post my card for the Crafters’ of Faith group at Split coast Stampers. This month’s verse is: Isaiah 40:31 But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Challenge–please make a card that highlights anything with wings–you decide what you want to showcase.

I made two cards very similar. I have a good friend who is having a birthday in a week or so and her favorite color is purple. I used the hummingbirds for my something with wings.

Stamp sets used are A Touch of Ink for everything except the greeting. The greeting is from Four Season’s Floral. Both sets are Stampin’ Up. I colored each element with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

  1. So fitting for this challenge. Your coloring is refreshing and such a delight. This verse reminds me to have faith. Heard the other day that in God’s economy my faith is in direct proportion to peace and joy.

    1. Thanks! This set has stamps to give color, but I decided to pull out the markers and color that way. I like the soar like eagles part of the verse, but I do not own eagles.

    1. Thank you! I love hummingbirds and the many colors they actually have. I don’t think any have turquoise green shades or bright purple wings, but they have so many shades of color on them. Love watching them.

  2. These are both so beautiful. Your coloring is amazing. I think it’s so fascinating to watch those little hummingbirds flit around.

  3. Gorgeous little hummingbird Lisa. I have them at the feeders all the time and just love watching them buzzing around. You did great job on the colouring and both cards are lovely

  4. Lovely cards and great coloring on your hummingbirds. The frame on the bottom card is gorgeous.
