Just Add Ink Challenge 561 — Just Add a Shaker
Back again for some more challenges! I haven’t played in quite some time but felt it was time to jump back into the challenge game. Today’s card is a edge to edge flat full shaker card to meet the Just Add Ink Challenge and my flip flops are definitely a sign of summer for the Double D Challenges.
Using a piece of World Beaches patterned paper gifted to me by my sister, I adhered this to a piece of cardstock to make it sturdier then added some red line tape as well as a sheet protector cut larger than the card base. After adhering all three sides of the sheet protector, I added my shaker bits and gems and sealed the top section. More tape added and I really mean more tape and adhered to the card base. I stamped the flip flops from Gina K Designs Hello Sunshine stamp set first of my last treasured sheet of SU vellum and heat set it then stamped again on patterned paper, fussy cut the flops and adhered to my vellum, adding this and a stamped sentiment from the same stamp set to my card front.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek.

Fun shaker! Sorry you have used your treasured vellum. Hopefully another vendor will have one you like.
Love this!
Fun card. It really does say summer.
Shimmer and shake, you are a rock star.
Ohhh now that’s a great shaker effect. Must try this edge to edge style myself. Thank you for sharing. Chantell Just Add Ink
Great summer card! Love those flip flops!! This is a cool way to make a shaker.
OH WOW this is SO COOL and of course I LOVE the flip flops (the only time I don’t wear mine is when there’s more than an inch of snow on the ground lol). Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Double D ‘Signs of Summer’ challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.

Such a fun summer card for our challenge! What a clever way to make a shaker as well. I’ll have to try to remember this. I’m so glad you linked up with the DD challenge. Best of luck to you!
This is fabulous! I love that there is no frame. Did you tuck the edges of the sheet protector behind your panel? The combination of the background paper, fussy cut paper pieced flip flops and vellum to make sure they stand out has to make anyone want to spend the day on a beach. thank you for sharing your card.
Thanks, Hansi, I used scor-tape on the shaker panel and adhered three sides then added the shaker elements and sealed the last side.
Wow! Fabulous shaker, Gayle. Thanks for sharing with us at Just Add Ink. x
This is a perfect take on the challenge Gayle. The pp is just right and the flip flops make the best element for the rest. Love it all.
