The current challenge at Mod Squad is to keep your card with a simple focus, one image and no embellishments, or the card will be removed. I took this challenge and it was not as easy as it sounded.

KODAK Digital Still Camera
This card was created using the set Friendship Blooms with was a collaboration of Hero Arts and Gina K Designs. I colored the images with Prismacolor Pencils and used Stampin’Up Crumb Cake cardstock. I heat embossed with GKD Detail White embossing powder.
I found this challenging as I wanted to add glitter to the flowers and possibly gems to draw the eye down the page better. But I left it alone.
Before this card I had worked on another card. This didn’t make the cut for the challenge.

After I finished coloring this image, I thought it needed something else, so I added clear sparkle to the flowers. Then I added gems. So, I was ready to post and read the directions again and this one didn’t make the cut. I totally love the card and mailed it, so someone will be able to enjoy it and hopefully it will bring a smile to her face when she opens it.
Makes me sad that your creations are not good enough for one challenge. I love them both but especially the second one. Come on, it purple, what else needs said.
Thank you! I really like the purple flowers and I added the sparkle and gems, so that disqualified it for that challenge. I enjoyed coloring it and using the stamp set.
Both are so very pretty. Like Bonny, I’m partial to the second one. You can’t go wrong with purple.
Thank you! Yes, I like the purple flowers better than the first card. I will probably go back and add something to give the first card an extra something.
Does sparkle eliminate it? Yikes! Both cards are great. And, after you’ve now entered it, you can go back and add that bling, if you really think it needs it. It does look quite good without it, though. I love the bright color you got with your coloring. Now, I like purple, too, and they are both great, but I really like the first one best.
Thank you! Yes I can add something now to the red flowered card, if I choose. No sparkle was allowed, which is sometimes hard for me as I really like to add it.
“No sparkle” is just sad. A bit of sparkle adds so much fun. 😉
These are both beautiful! Your coloring is amazing!
Thank you! I have to color in spurts as it has been a long time since I pulled my pencils out. I did enjoy it and should do it more often.
They are both lovely and like some of the others, I favor the purple. The flower centers just seem to need the bling.
Thank you! I liked the bling.
These are both beautiful! Love the white embossing with the deep color on the kraft background, and the shading on your purple flowers looks great!
Thank you!
Beautiful bold colors and coloring of your flowers.
Thanks! It took a couple of days to color as I would stop and come back.
Oh, I love this. Using the white embossing powder on the kraft and then coloring with the bright colored pencils just makes everything pop. And good for you for not adding any embellishments, because I would have removed your entry and that would have been a shame. Great take on the challenge, thanks so much for playing along with us over at The Mod Squad. Hope we see you back again soon.

Thank you! I looked at your card for inspiration, then chose my colors. Yes, you would have removed my card, so I started again.
Both are great cards and I agree with Golda, enter it before you add anything else. Once it is entered you can add any bling you desire. Don’t think they need it but that is what I would do if it were me.
