An attempt at a challenging challenge of a clean and simple card consisting of a one inch strip with the optional twist of small stamps. Oh boy, I may be totally challenged but determined to play along with the AAA Cards group. I did find an older Stampin Up stamp set “A Little Bit of Happiness” which should I admit that it may never have been inked until now!! The stamp I chose was my favorite of the set because it not only has butterflies but dragonflies too! After stamping with versamark ink, I heat set with SSS white embossing powder then colored with Arteza markers. Well not really coloring just swiping the marker and attempting to blend the color edges.
I decided to add a little bling and I think my teardrop gems are upside down so now they can be called raindrops. Can I blame the upside down gems on pollen which have eyes itchy and red?

Thanks for stopping in for a peek.
Now that is meeting the challenge. Your idea to heat emboss than color was a good one. I find CAS very difficult especially to get the results you did here.
Thanks, Bonnie, I find CAS very difficult too. I want to add more and after the post I decided it needed a die cut forever under the friend…..Shhh!
Wow – that is a challenge! You nailed it, though! Love your colorful strip and the stamps you chose.
Thanks, Lisa, you seem to do CAS with ease and beauty so I appreciate your support.
Great job! I like the stamp you used and the colorful coloring. I looked that set up as I had never heard of it. It is dated 2008. Glad you found a gem of a set to use.
Thanks, Lisa, and for the date of this stamp set. I never dated any of my stamp sets but am glad to have your resourcefulness.
Found it on Splitcoast Stampers. They date all of the stamps and the catalog it came out in.
I like your inchie card Gayle! The fun color with the small stamps is perfect. I always thought those were teardrop bling. I use them upside down for candle flames, most of the time. Granted, mine are yellow for flames.
That’s a great idea, Golda, to use them as the flames. I’ll have to see if I can color them. Thanks for stopping in and commenting. It means a lot to me.
WOW!! Great take on this challenge. I like how you swiped color over the heaat embossing.
Thanks Gerry. CAS cards are always very challenging for me.
Your inky strip of butterflies and dragonflies looks so pretty. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards, hope to see you join in with future challenges too. Stay safe and keep crafting!
You sure nailed this challenge my friend. It is creative, pretty and clever.
