Why oh why are color challenges so difficult for me? I love color but maybe I feel that I need to go overboard on the colors. So for this color challenge:

I attempted to keep myself in check over these gorgeous colors. Using the Gina K/Simon Says Stamp Stamptember collaboration set Snowflake Cascade, I silver heat embossed it on my blue raspberry (Misty Moonlight) and stamped my sentiment on dusty rose (magenta madness) and then for good measure silver heat embossed some snowflakes from the same set and die cut them.
I’m still not quite sold on it but to my eyes it looks better when I put everything on the white card base.

Beautiful. I’m sorry I missed getting that set. It’s gorgeous embossed in silver.
Love it – colors are perfect!
Beautiful! I also struggle with color challenges; you did a great job with this combination.
Beautiful card! Your substitutions make a pretty card.
It looks spectacular and your design really sells the look. I also struggle with color challenges. I am going to try to use the neutrals first then build with the colors being more accents. See how that goes cuz I have a challenge using teal and cranberry….
Very pretty. Great job with the colors and I love the silver embossed snow flakes.
That intricate silver embossed snowflake is just stunning Gayle. I love how it gleams behind the sentiment. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week. Kim
Fabulous card here. You are not alone in struggling with colour challenges – I think we all do at times. Love the silver snowflake and then the additions on top. Great job on this one.
Not sure how you can go overboard with beautiful colors. This is really beautiful and I do like your white border/card base, which makes it stand out.
Soooooo very lovely! The embossed background gives your card a really elegant feel. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week!
