It’s getting closer to that time of year and Back to School…well kind of sort of with a hybrid option for our grandchildren’s school district. We will have a 4th and 3rd grader this school year and their mascot is an owl so I pulled out my GKD Friends Til The End stamp set as well as a TPC Studio teacher stamps set for the book and inside stamps. This was a very intriguing sketch challenge from The Paper Players and my mind took me to a gatefold card.

The letters are Concord & 9th’s alphabet dies. Not sure how much longer I’ll be able to make “cute” cards for our grandson the big 4th grader but maybe I’ll slip spending money in the card for him.

What a fun one!
Cute card. I love all your back to school elements.
Fun card! Love the owl with the back to school pieces. Keep making fun cards for that grandson. He will love these even if he doesn’t tell his friends.
I love your gatefold idea for the sketch challenge – perfect! Love all the back to school elements you used as well!
What a great way to keep the sketch and yet create a fabulous card. Never stop finding the youth in any of your decedents.
Cute card!! love how you made the sketch work with a gate fold. Don’t worry, grandsons are never too old for a cute handmade card from grandma……especially when there’s money in it. 😉
LOL…they usually know that I include a little extra for them.
Very cute card! And grandsons always love them – one of my “proud” moments was when my 12 years old grandson told his new step brother that I made the best cards! We do stick a little “fun” $$$ in them!
LOL…love those grandkids.
I love how you created flaps for the front panels….very clever! Yes, 4th grade boys don’t want CUTE, do they?!!! But I am sure the alternative will make him happy! Thanks so much for playing with my Paper Players sketch this week!
Thanks for commenting and a fun sketch.
LOL – just add money! But – THIS card would make him happy regardless! Love that adorable owl peeking out! Really fun design, Gayle! Thanks for sharing it with us this week at The Paper Player! 🙂
Fun design and colourful. I love that owl.
